Not 601... not SC from what I've seen on other sites, but I could be wrong.

That last swing was brutal. Edge of paddle to the back of the neck. That deserves some serious charges if he was lucky enough to not kill the guy.

Definitely looks like attempted murder. I am surprised the guy was still going...

While I'll agree the kid shoulda stopped before he did, the old man came at them with paddle in hand first. It's clearly a self defense case that any competent attorney can prove.

People need to control their emotions. I see the same nonsense with road ragers. It's not worth the risk.

yep, as bad as it looks for the young ones, the old man coming at them with paddle intiates the deal

Any threat of bodily harm was over when the ol man was on the ground with his hands over his head. Several more blows follow including the last one that could have become the “anchor” shot.

That is not how self defense works.

I used to work with a guy that was on work release for killing a dude with a paddle....

If you are swinging a paddle/board/bat/pole/etc, you are using deadly force.

Every time I hit a mudfish on the top of the head, my paddle breaks.

Meh. Looked like mutual combat to me and the guy lost. He walked over there to those boys with his own paddle aggressively and got dealt with.
