We still have some at the back of Baynard St. I forgot how many they killed but they knocked it way way way down.

Used to ride horses in there. We used to ride atv's in there and fish in the 80's/90's. It was a "game" with us and Wackenhut... after 9/11 it was not a game anymore. I was going with some of the "elder statesmen" of Allendale/Barnwell so I was not too worried about getting caught. The best bass fishing I have ever seen. One day, I caught a fish (2-4lbs) every cast for 55 minutes. We'd wade out to about waist deep and bail them. Had a chopper hover over us, at a couple hundred feet one day, and we were trying to put a tree between us... PAR was good but "L" pond was our favorite.

Just read a little on Kaput. I suppose if you don't bury the dead hogs then it'll kill the buzzards who eat them?

Allegedly, Warfarin metabolizes quicky and poses little ability to kill scavengers. Supposedly. Perhaps.

Every time I look at this thread, I think y'all are talking about something cool like the Super Retriever Series, but then I remember: nope—just pigs and the government spending money.

Dave Henderson. He has killed more deer in the lowcountry than CWD!

    Approved the contract for deer
    management services to
    Lowcountry Wildlife Specialists,
LLC, in an amount not to exceed
    $13,600, and deer processing not
    to exceed $8,000.

    i find this interesting.

Never heard a shot. Never saw a spotlight. Never saw anybody dragging a deer. Never saw a cripple. There were deer everywhere, then they were gone. Those boys have their game on point...

Nope they operate like ghost! Met Dave my senior year at Clemson on a field trip to Sea Pines with the Wildlife Damage Management class. He had just conducted his first round off culling at Sea Pines after several years of court battles. He introduced me to my first boss that day, 100% the reason I moved down here.

What so interesting? He probably filled at least 75-100 tags. ($8,000 is in line for processing fees for that) I personally find that pretty cheap. Shit load of liability. I bet his insurance is higher than camel cock! Plus he would have had to of conducted spotlight surveys, write a management plan, push a permit for tags based off his assessment, etc.

Next time I see him I will tell him he needs to increase his fees!
