id like to see france lose at 5pm.

i'll bet ivory coast can hang with norway in the early game.

dang job will get in the way though....
I am in Dallas again this week helping with the field crew.

Ivory Coast could have won that game. They were the more athletic team on the field

a lot of those african nations have what it takes to win a lot of these games. they just dont have that one star player up front with some experience. you can watch the french play and see what sets them (and other top ranked european teams) apart from these smaller countries.

I've been a US Soccer fan for a long time. This team is different. This team is special. Best I can tell, the bulk of the credit goes to Mauricio Pochettino (the guy that looks like Russell Crow). He has them acting like mature adults rather than petulant brats. Next game is Monday at 8pm. Get on the train.

good win. we did our job.
agree we have some talent and some grit. nice to see our almost 40yr old captain be there in the right moments. couple of younger defenders that really work hard. robinson never stops. he was downfield in the 96th minute and had to race back.
midfield is solid. adams and mckennie play solid futbol. will be interesting to see who Poch puts up top. I hope its not Wright but agree he has made good choices thus far.

belgium was very fortunate to win their match. playing on credit. nothing to lose.

I see a tight contest monday night. first goal wins.

    Go USA!!

and i really hope some of yall (Pbiz) can appreciate the passion that other countries have for this sport. they are having an absolute blast in north america and hopefully are showing some less patriotic assholes that we have an amazing country.

maybe its time for this national team to add some spice to the 250th. Could be epic....

I find myself surprisingly enthused by the Cup this year. I always enjoyed playing the sport when younger but never really enjoyed watching. Last nights game was fantastic, USA goalie is on point.

Looking at the table, there's some very interesting games already lining-up. Norway v. Brazil and Mexico v. England, both on July 5th, should be great games. The disparate styles of play should make for interesting play. AI says England and Brazil...we'll see.

Oh, and Balogun earned that red card last evening. That was 100% a red card. I hate to see it but FIFA got it right in my opinion.

So, you think he intentionally stepped on that guy’s ankle? I don’t know much about all of this stuff, but if that dude has the body control to intentionally step on him, and chose to do that instead of using that body control to kick the actual ball, I’d be quite shocked.

That's my thought, as well. If we are going to say that this is the biggest sporting event in the world, and happens every 4 years, you can't make a guy miss a game for that.

Why did they call back two US goals?

Also what is that yellow checked flag used for?

I was in bed. Work night and 0400 comes early.

My wife stayed up and watched it though. Stay at home mom life at stuff.

I heard we won and scored a goal down a man. That has to hurt that other team's pride a grunt.

I am very happy that so many Europeans are coming on to social media to debunk the Leftist horde on how bad our country is. They all seem to be having a grand time and aren't shy about telling it to the world.

I watched the last 45 minutes or so ... I think I heard the announcer say the US team had to 'suffer' at least 20 times after the red card. The US goalie was literally touched on the back gently and you would think he needed to go to the ER.

Glad they won, wouldn't call it exciting.

As am I. Now the hard part is to try and remember that when the mainstream news and social media tell you how awful other countries are as well. Those lies don't just flow one way.
