2025- 22 mix of coons and possums another 2 yotes
2026- only 4 coons 1 possum and 1 yote. Photo is the yote from today.

“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

Pulled my last trap this morning. 1 fox in the last 8 days so either I've caught all the stupid ones or I've put a dent in the population. Ended up with 39 coons, 30 possums, 10 coyotes, 5 bobcats, 4 grey fox, 3 red fox,, 2 field mice and a flying squirrel.

Only been doing this for 4 years now so I'm still early in the learning process but this was my best season so far.

That is a great season. Feel like I need to send you a box of .22 hollow points.

I'll add that on my DPs I ran about half with cat food, fish oil, and crawfish oil, the other half I used marshmellow and Locklear's Coon Crack. The cat food and fish oil caught the overwelling majority.

I want to trap a beaver and an otter but don't really have a place to do so. Plus the little bit I've helped somebody with their traps, it's a lot of work

I’ve been running corn with vanilla extract and it works but ordered some fish oil and crawfish oil to try

Thank you sir. I swear it's almost as addicting as turkey hunting. Coming around the corner to see something bouncing is like opening Christmas presents
