    Default Chene

I've never really bought new gear, always been handed down or marketplace purchases. When my jacket started coming apart a few weeks ago in ND, I started looking around. When the forecast for Canada next week dropped and I would be in mostly sub freezing temps, I decided to spend extra money and get something that will hopefully last me awhile. I settled on this Chene brand. Well the price tag made me hesitate making the order for awhile, and sure enough, I ordered the wrong size when I did.

Don't know if the jacket is worth a shit yet, but am pretty happy with the customer service. It was a mistake I made and had multiple people call me and email me to make sure they got the order right and shipped before I leave for Canada. Makes me feel better (a little) about spending that kind of money with a company that seems to care.

There are some quality people behind the brand. You will not be disappointed!

It's the only brand I've spent money with since their initial launch in 2021. Outstanding products and the best customer service of any company I've done business with. Which jacket did you buy?

I dont own any chene, but I know some people that do and what they have told me about the customer service..... you cant do much better. If I didnt have a closet full of sitka and a best best friend with kuiu, I wouldnt hesitate a single second to buy chene gear. I know price tags are scary on some of this stuff, but once you get in that jacket, I bet you will fall in love with this high end technology. Its rare I am disappointed with the high end gear. I dont waste too much time on hoodies or base layers, but when you start really getting into pieces that are the outer shell and withstand the elements, thats where these more expensive price tags shine. I also go north a bit, and have been in temps that you get one swig out of a beer can and by the time its set down, its starting to freeze up. We are talking about gear that ultimately keeps you alive, and in my mind, there just isnt a price tag that would prevent me from wanting that gear. I guess maybe not going, but I am TERRIBLE about pushing limits with whatever I do. Plus the colder it gets, the less competition. Probably a shit ton smarter than me.
