You mean like a catalytic converter or some airplane tires?

This whole ‘search’ plays like a fake cover story as there is no way they couldn’t and wouldn’t have tracked this plane, especially during exercises, if there really were any. I’ll bet on it being handed to the Chinese, possibly even for a blackmail payment(?), or it’s on a mission in Ukraine or the surrounding area.

So, you think some little ninjas or fairies snuck into the county under the cover of darkness and staged a jet fighter debris field?

What we have learned is that those dum dums claim to “lose” a jet in mid flight.
    - it’s fortunate a pilot of one of those jets don’t go rogue and kamakize right back into the base he took off from. Obviously there is no way to take over control of the aircraft. (Or is it?)

Expect to hear calls for : “You’re not paying enough taxes to equip our air attack forces with tracking capabilities.”
    “We need more military funding.”

    - quite possibly foreshadowing an upcoming event or some sort of psyop or diversion.

By the way, this should not be a shock or surprise to anyone, the “Commander In Chief” is utterly brain dead.

Careful.......I saw Charleston Southern hold Mr. "i support black lives matter" football team for the first half not long ago
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

I don't know that area but I guess it's possible a F35 jet could crash and nobody see it or see any smoke? I've not been around many jets crashing but I'd assume the fuel would ignite but maybe not...I guess the pilot could have dumped the fuel. Who knows.

Autopilot engaged. No fuel onboard when it decided it couldn’t fly no more.

I don’t understand the debris field. Could this plane be coming apart before it crashed? Seems they would find the plane and that would be it.

USAF doesn't have any F-5s. We have T-38s that act as our aggressors. It's the same aircraft but the T-38 lacks the weapons systems and gun. Other countries still fly F-5s though, as they're cheap and a highly maneuverable supersonic aircraft. We can convert the T-38s easily but why when we have a buncha studs in the stable like F-15EX, 16s, 35s and 22s.

I've never seen or heard of them either. Even with 8 years as an LEO in the area. Guess they don't leave the base that often.
Calm down. It's just Charleston AFB's Safety Office and yes, they don't leave the base much... at least not in that truck they don't. Most likely with emergency management riding shotgun.

Either way, I was told the ELT transponder wasn't working. Think "black box" here although it's not actually black but anyway. If crashed over land the ELT is supposed to activate upon impact or can be manually triggered by the pilot. It emits a tone on the guard freq's and assists in location of the wreckage by emergency crews and the planes they fly. The aircraft also has a Underwater Acoustical Beacon that emits a sonar tone if it crashes in water but only specific ships/boats are outfitted with the stuff to hear said tone. Good luck getting one of 'em on Marion or Moultrie. Perhaps Coast Guard has a smaller one outfitted with the ability to detect/locate the UAB tone. Who knows?

SilentWeapon, the reason why Apaches aren't on the job are they're attack helicopters and are not used for search and rescue. Now if Chinamen were trying to get to the crash site before us then the Apache would be of use. USAF uses the HH-60 for the SAR mission and USCG has a couple others they use.

The pilots are trained to point the bird in a safe location away from people/structure before punching out. If they say it's near the S-C lakes, it's nearby. If it were on land this is a whole different convo and the plane would have likely been found already. Water landings get complicated.

Either way, this is a complete shit show and I trust very little of what I read on it.

Running out of fuel doesn't sound right unless the pilot did dump the fuel.

It was 84.1 miles by vehicle. At 400 mph(a guess), it would get there in 12 minutes.

Surely they would have more than 12 minutes worth of fuel when the pilot ejected.

Also if he had any control of the jet,....and 12 minutes of fuel, he would have pointed the aircraft to the east so it would crash over the ocean.

Who knows what happened, and thankfully nobody apparently got hurt. But how pissed would you be to have 40-11 government morons drive all over your place to retrieve their hunk of crap that fell on your farm? Somebody in Williamsburg County is getting the raw end of this whole deal.
