A buddy of mine took a trash pump with a 3" pvc intake and necked down the outflow side to 3/4" to try to create super high pressure. Will this create a lot of pressure or little to none?
I was worried if the outflow wasn't large enough it'd burn up the impeller on the pump from overheating. I told him to at least split the 3/4" hose and run 2 wands off the one hose. Will a regular garden hose work or will he need a legit high pressure hose?
What do y'all think? None of us have a clue and this thing is going to get a test run 20 miles down the MS river at our camp to blow sediment out of our boat slips. I'm pretty good at coonass engineering but I am not sure about this one.
