Got this on DVR last night, worth the watch if you are a Skynyrd fan
Still recall sitting in 10th grade English class when our teacher told us the news about the plane crashing night before

GREATEST BAND EVER
I love their music a great deal. I try to see a tribute band of theirs I like as often as they come around.
If you like rock or metal with a southern edge, try the Texas Hippie Coalition's 1st album.
Also, Pepper Keenan's incarnation of the band known as Corrosion of Conformity is a cross between early zz top and black sabbath imo. The band known as Down fits that description as well.
Son , we are talking Skynyrd here .. not tribute bands.
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
I’ve always been a big fan. Allen Collin’s daughter Amie, lives in Lexington on Lake Murray. My dad did some remodeling work on her house several years ago. Very nice lady, and her collection of her dad’s stuff is amazing. Got to meet the current line up when they came to the state fair in 2016. Shook hands with Johnny Van Zant and Gary Rossington. I was on cloud 9 for weeks after that.
Went to see them a few weeks ago. Love em. Hopefully this will air again so I can record it
.

If ya'll ever get the chance to watch Muscle Shoals. Do yourself a favor. Damn good.
They were so good ( I mean GREAT musicians ) . Its crazy how young they were . I read and watch evrything I can get my hands on about LS . Played a few shows with Artimus . He is kind of a dick . I believe there is still some bad blood . I dont do any version after the crash . LS died that day .
I used to drink like a fish and run like a dog

Could you imagine being one of The Swampers? Think about the talent that recorded in that studio and to sit in on some of the most talented musicians of our time.
They're all great, but just so there's no question:
Allman Brothers > Skynyrd > Marshall Tucker Band
You aint kidding . Patterson Hood ( DBT ) father was part of the swampers I am pretty sure .

Watched it last night. Enjoyed it, except when they were trying to distance themselves from the flag. No matter what whoever is saying in 2018, you don't get to take back what Ronnie said in 1976. He was the boss. Nobody can dispute it.
I am amazed that I was only 10 years old when they crashed. I never really thought about it, but I would have bet that I was at least 16. That is how much of a presence they were in the South back then, and now really in many places around Dixieland. They are always around.
I was a 17 year old surf bum with hair down to my ass and saw them live right before the crash. I think about 8 of us
piled in a Chevy van and drove to either Fayetteville or Raleigh.
They were as cool as you could get, had their own sound and true southerners, not some hair band put together
and built around marketing.
Ed King passed away last night.
