Its a badass ride, I'd love to fish one.
The 42 that was at charleston boat show listed for around $750K
Birddawg has a 42 on order
Know a guy with a 26 Scout. Hardly fished at all 600hrs , mostly lake. After $18k transome rebuild he sold it. Scouts are for looks and nothing more.
A guy at the marina bought one of these last year. Nice boat with cool gizmos, but hardly a fishing boat. It's like buying a Mercedes SUV and telling everyone you bought an off-road truck.
For a LOT LESS $$$$$ you could have a real offshore boat like this and stay dry, in the a/c on the couch, watching satellite tv, and have a helluva lot smoother ride. 25 knot cruise instead of 50+, but who cares. Most day's the ocean won't allow you to haul ass safely anyway.

At the end of the day it's still a scout....
And even this is one is less and one bad ass boat. The former Arica

Those sport fish boats are nice but the cost of ownership has got to be serious!
I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.
Whats it like to live w/o the Internet? Not bad, I get photos of your mom thought the mail....

If you've got that much money...cost of ownership is not a factor unless you are living on the boat.
And the owner didn't give a crap because he was sitting on millions right? I wouldn't doubt that there are a couple of people on this site that may own something like that. But it's rare. There are probably more on this site that work on or have a "friend" with a boat like that.
I roomed with a guy at the Citadel that dated a "Lockwood" daughter. I was spoiled just by being a friend of a friend. And yes...I took advantage of their generosity.
