    Default Pond Riser Help

My friend has a pond with a riser very similar to the picture. Beavers have pushed mud and debris up between the two walls to stop the flow ,which has caused the level to rise and flow over the top. We have tried to clear it but it looks like it may need some professional help. Any suggestions?

    It's located near Florence.

The cap runs down a little further than on this one. The problem isn't just weeds and debris, they have pushed mud and sand up near the opening which makes it almost impossible to fix from above. The top grate isn't removable.

Is the drop to the lower end of the dam enough to siphon the water off?
If yes maybe you could put in a siphon system to draw it down and keep that as a backup.

If no you may need to pump it down enough to work on it.

Holler at Coyoteman and get the beaver under control first before attempting to redesign the structure...

Use a pump to get the water down, then use the pump to shoot water into the riser to clear out the mud and sand.
