    Default Citizen Ecodrive Watch

Not sure if mine is just a piece of shit or if its all of them, but in the past year that i have had one, the pins connecting the band and the face have broken and had to be replaced 7 times. I have sent it back to citizen twice, had it repaired by a citizen dealer 3 times, and by a rolex dealer twice. It flew off mid golf swing this morning, has just pain old fallen off my wrist most of the other times.

Has anyone else had this problem? I like the watch(when its not in several pieces), however ive had enough of paying to fix it. I realize its no rolex, but its not a cheap watch by any means.

I would not recommend buying one.

I've got a titanium professional diver. Had it for at least 6 years. Other than the 2 little pieces that hold the extra band down dry rotting, had no issues at all. Sure is nice not having to worry about a battery.

    I love mine.

It's the first watch I've had since I went to Clemson that wasn't a complete piece of crap.

Got my wife one for Christmas. No problems yet. One day she'll get the Rolex she's always wanted, but for now, the Citizen will do.

Serious question. Why would you own several if the first one you got is still good?

I've never owned a watch, just curious why you would own several.

    No sarcasm.

I took off my watch three years ago.

    I havent missed it yet.

It's a citizen eco drive. Always fast. Sent it to Citizen, they wanted $200 to clean it.

I told them to send it back.

Some folks appreicate things in different senses.

I've always enjoyed watches. Had a few Seikos from middle school, up through high school. I'd pick one and wear it for a while, then choose another.

About 10 years ago, I was on a cruise and got a decent deal on a nice Tag Indy Chronograph Racer. Very nice watch. I enjoyed it... Not long after, I found a deal online for a Tag Professional Diver. I liked it as it wasn't as flashy as my Indy, so I bought it. When I graduated college, I wanted to get something for myself. I thought Dad was gonna give me his Rolex GMT Master ("root beer"), but he didn't, so as a proverbial "FU", I went out and got myself a GMT Master-IIc. Somewhere along the way I picked up a Tissot T-Touch in carbon fiber and titanium, as it was a unique timepiece...

Long story short, the GMT has left my wrist just a few times since I got it. I've since traded the Indy for a S&W and some cash; the Tissot sits in my watch box awaiting its 2nd trip to NYC for a new battery, and the Tag Professional is my "travel watch". My GMT looks like a well worn watch; from chainsaws to dirtbikes to shooting to...whatever, it takes it all.

I've always worn a watch as far back as I can remember. I feel odd without it.

Folks are just different and everyone has "their thing". A widget is a widget, some guys just prefer different ones.
