I just bought a husquvarna 54"/26hp lawn tractor for ~$2500. Has the reinforced deck (not to commerical grade, basically the residential with reinforcement) and the day after I got it I took the deck off and husky lined the underside of it to protect it from all of the sand we ha ve around here. I like it so far.

For half an acre, I would look at a used model for 1/8th the price of a new one.

I posted this up couple years ago but I had a cub cadet w/50" deck. Great engine ok mower but the transmission crapped out at the ~2 year mark. I got a commercial zero turn and cut my mowing time by more than 50%, only way to go.
In the morning be first up, and in the evening last to go to bed, for they that sleep catch no fish. ><)))*>

I would say he is right. My yard is little larger than half acre and I bought a craftsman 18hp 42 in cut last year for my yard and it was on sale for 900 bucks.

This reminds me I need to get the Guatemalan a new blade for the Toro push mower.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
