So, was it staged to ease public mind and show Dorner they are throwing in the towel, or was Dorner actually in the house with an individual of similar build while he waits for the coast to clear? This man is smart and this was all carefully planned. He isn't dumb enough to think he could get away by hiding in a cabin after alerting authorities to the area by setting his truck ablaze. By "attempting" to steal a boat, he answers the question of scuba gear where authorities don't realize the actual purpose. I am fairly certain everything is connected and he seems to use fire a lot. A burned body is hard to identify and give him ample time to escape, while also giving him cover because the public assume him to be dead and wouldn't be as suspicious. Just seems that for someone to have obviously planned this out and having his background, he was caught just as easily as any criminal.

For the ducks
He was fucked over from the start.
They just said on fox that there was no body found, atleast yet, and that those are just rumors and the house is too hot to search.
Being reported right now thy have not searched the house for the body as it is still too hot. No body recovered.
Yet
I still can't figure the logic behind burning the truck?
I honestly figured he was throwing out a red herring to lead them in the wrong direction when he burned it. Why burn it and then stay in the area when he knew burning it would draw attention?
Why not sink it in a lake or river. Or if it was totally immovable under it's own power, why not just leave it on the side of the road? That would still draw less attention than setting it ablaze. It would have bought him more time before it was found too.

1) Broke axle
2) Crashed the stolen White Dodge 4x4 truck in the chase by CA Game Wardens.
Think the Game Wardens and cops need 200% more range time.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
