Default Zeiss vs. Trijicon - opinions needed

Looking to buy a new scope for the deer rifle, and have narrowed it down to two scopes. Looking at a Zeiss Conquest 3-12x56 and Trijicon Accupoint 2.5-10x56 with amber dot illuminated reticle. It's going on a Savage in .243. Which scope would be better suited for low light situations? Which has better glass?

IMHO... Zeiss all the way. They're not even in the same class.

Might want to look at the Meopta Meostar and the Steiner Predator as well. I'm really interested in finding a Steiner to look at.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

You should look at Minox. I personally think the glass is better than Conquest. I have the ZA5 model and love it.

To your original question.... I have that conquest and enjoy it alot. Nice crisp glass, really good at low light on low power of course. I havent looked at the trijicon.

But, have a friend that they have owned zeiss diavari and swarovski and other hign end optics. He spoke about that Trijicon and said its a nice scope for the money.

Satly- I dont think you would want to touch a Steiner since they changed hands. Customer service has gone down hill.

The reason I chose these two scopes is because I'll be getting it through work. Of the brands and models available I narrowed it down to these two. I have hunted with the Zeiss mentioned above, and have found it to be an excellent scope. I have never looked through the trijicon, but have read great reviews. Both scopes cost roughly the same amount, so I figured the quality would be relatively close. I have heard trijicon customer service is excellent. Just trying to decide which has better glass. The trijicon reticle sounds like it would help with low light situations, and it has a 12 year warranty on the reticle.

Trijicon vs Conquest. I choose Trijicon. Equal or better glass and a vastly superior low light reticle.

I have a 3x12x56 swarvoski on my ar10 but that is because it was in the safe. If I were to purchase one I would get the trijicon. Very nice optic for the money.
