    Default Bobwhites

After hunting bobwhites south of the border many times with no dogs I had the pleasure of taking my dog to hunt wild bobwhite quail in an area where they can still be found with regularity. It was an experience I will never forget. I now understand why my grandfather took time away from farming to pursue these little birds. It was his only hobby and I can't think of a better one. We averaged 18 covey flushes a day. It was an incredible experience and one I will have to do again next year. Bobwhites don't take a heartbeat like a rooster flushing from cover but it's damn close.

That’s a fantastic trip. I wish I had the time to make another trip this season but I burned that card on my earlier trip.

Nothing better than watching a good dog work quail.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

The word gets out easily for sure. There are no quail or pheasant left in Kansas. People should just keep driving west.

Yep. I feel bad for our dogs because they do a lot of hanging out waiting on a trip. It’s hard to get excited about release quail.

Yeah, what meant. I don’t consider pen raised as quail. Though we use to get good birds from a guy in Grey Court, been a long time. Those birds would run, fly and flush pretty good. Probably 20yrs ago now.

Last time it was like a single line of code, while we all drove to Miami waiting on an image to load. I will ask Millero to check it out, because we've seen this spiral before...
