It took 3 months to get my truck back when new parts would have been 2 weeks.

The parts he was looking for wasn’t readily available. It was nonsense to have to deal with it

Insurance company’s job is to collect as much as they can and pay out as little as they can. Just with any business.

“Don’t file a claim but keep paying premiums” has to be the most insurance statement in the history of insurance.

That attitude is what gets you a $3k check to rebuild a barn totaled by a 36” DBH cherry tree.

    Don’t file a claim. Unreal.

There are millions and millions of policy holders that would disagree with you. Are we perfect 100% of the time???? Absolutely not but a bad claims experience or a 1 off Til Tok video is not a representation of a company.

I’ve never seen or heard anyone but insurance agents defend insurance companies, It’s a racket that’s as crooked as deep state politics. It’s contributed to driving the cost of auto body repairs and home repairs/rebuilds out of sight and it’s single handedly ruined this country’s health care system and you’ll never make me believe otherwise.

It’s been mentioned in other threads, if people don’t like insurance, pay cash for your stuff. The only thing you are legally obligated to have is state minimum liability insurance which is dirt cheap for most people. The lenders are who are requiring you to carry property coverage.

It’s not a “non-profit” business. People get mad because they say “I don’t have a choice but to buy insurance”. Simply not true.

I would not say that is a factual statement. The insurance companies job is to make an insured “whole” in the event of a loss. If that did not happen, then your agent should be fighting for you.

What was the reason said company only paid 3k? What was the additional structure coverage on the house and what was their reasoning for that payout?

I’ll never tell someone to file our not too file. I certainly will let them know of any adverse affects that could potentially result from a claim because if I didn’t, the same person would chew me out for not letting them know if I simply told them to file.

    It's organized crime. Period
Bobby White is good people and he has to eat too.
With that said, SF broke it off in my ass after 18 years with them
But they are all the same, we are here until you need us and then will raise your rate or drop you.
Oh, but I did hear the insurance companies are having a bad year, poor little things.
Just Google their yearly earnings statements

If this is true why doesn't reform once implemented lower insurance premiums?

I think the hospitality industry in our state will see a decrease in liquor liability insurance premiums if the current bill being considered is passed.

This did not occur for physicians last time tort reformed passed. Physician malpractice insurance increased the following year.
