Default First buck with a bow...

Killed him this morning about 730. Didn't come out where i was expecting and i misjudged the yardage. He was a little closer than I thought so I caught his backbone and he dropped. Tried to crawl away using his front legs, but I nocked another arrow and slipped it in his ribcage. About 20 seconds later he was done. Not too shabby for the first with a bow I think. I've killed a few does with my bow over the past few years, but this is my first buck. It feels good to have finally broken the ice with my bow after 3 years.

Congrats man! It happens sometimes, all you can do is learn from it. We have all been there. Most important thing is you got him!

What did it sound like? I shot a doe like that one time and I can still hear that sound. No tracking is a good thing some times.
