    Default Coyote catch dogs

Pretty neat video of running down coyotes with greyhounds. I like how he can release his hounds without getting out of the truck. Never seen a dog box like that.

Looks like a mighty fine way to kill coyotes. If we had the proper landscape, I’d try it here.

Look up some of the videos where they use decoy dogs while calling. I’d love to try that.

Around about 1990 we were driving the RV to Arkansas to chase mallards. One of the last little towns on Hwy 82 before you drop into the MS delta is Winona. We pulled in that shell station and it’s one of those cool places that all the old men go to drink coffee. There were two trucks with dog boxes mounted on the front full of Catahoula Curs. My dad got to talking with the guys and they were explaining chasing them down and dropping the door of the box with a remote, and invited us along. We thought mallards were more important, but I wish we had burned half a day with those guys.

ETA: If you were fortunate enough to see Bayou Meto in the late 80’s early 90’s, it was about the only thing worth missing dogs mauling coyotes.

Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
