The 480 isn’t unpleasant to shoot. Its big brother, the .475 Linebaugh is. A hunting buddy of mine is a revolver nut and has a a couple of Linebaugh guns. One is a 5.5” 475. Shooting it is like being hit in the palm with a hammer.

That’s interesting to know, FLS. I’ve never shot either, but I don’t foresee the opportunity to go play with the big bears like BB is planning to, unfortunately. Hopefully he doesn’t need any of them.

Hope all is well on your side of the circle. Been crazy up here.

Bought a S&W 10mm from PSA during S&W's rebate time period, then put a Holuson on it. Fed 100 rounds though it so far. Pretty pleased.

I’m very happy with my Springfield XD 10mm…great trigger out of the box. I know a wheel gun will likely never fail to go bang, but from what long-toothed folks out here have told me, you’ll be lucky to even get a shot off before you are hit. I figure I’ll take more bullets and the ability to shoot multiple times with one hand while the bear is munching on me over the 6 bullets and the difficulty of shooting a wheelie cannon one handed despite its increased reliability.
