Brine and smoke.
Crops are harvested, animals are killed.
Y’all don’t forget the giblet gravy. If the turkey doesn’t turn out that’ll usually save it.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving.

14 lb bird. Put it in at 8:20 this morning and pulled it at 162 degrees at 11:30. I like a little bounce in my breast meat

Whatever you'll do it's still gonna be a turkey.
Smokin a prime rib. Throwing a lil change up this year.
Yeah, we will have a variety of meats at ours.. we move from our duck marsh, to the dove field then to the cabin for breakfast.. women and more come down after, we have a couple big easy thingys down there, just for Thanksgiving turkeys. I used to brine, always did a sweet tea brine. These days we just rub some shit on them for good measure and stick them in those infrared contraptions.
Smoking a turducken breast as per my usual ritual. I hate turkey but love this and it’s easy and a crowd pleaser.
