    Default Best $100-200 Bottle?

My former boss-man, who's also one of my best friends, turns fifty next week. Wanna get him a nice bottle of brown liquor. Problem is, I know nothing about the stuff. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Two bottles of Blanton's. Check with your local likka sto. It's not as hard to find as Pappy. Pretty damned good Bourbon. Basil Hayden's is a great choice. All under $100.

If he doesn't Bourbon, 18 year old MacAllen should be around $100 or a little less.

Go luck finding Blanton’s. Jefferson’s ocean is good about $80 a bottle.

A bottle of W.L. Weller isn’t a bad choice either.

it is divine. I would rank those 2 neck & neck
or whistle pig. But you are quickly getting out of my tax bracket with that one.

If you know where a bottle can be bought, I’d like to know. Last time I told the guys at Micky Finn’s I was looking for one they laughed out loud.

For real...that stuff is damn near impossible to get ahold of. The WL Weller suggested is even harder to get.

I can really speak from a non biased position on this. Not a liquor drinker much at all but you know you keep hearing about the bourbon hype so you think you want to try it. Been to the Maker's Mark distillery, cool as hell. Tried about four different ones my whole life. Tried Blanton's at a bar one night because they had it and I had heard the name. Instantly thought it was good. Everything else prior to that had been nasty to me so just take it for what it's worth.

A guy walked into my store with three bottles of that Weller cypb, he was looking to trade something for it. I told him he was the f****** bane of my existence and no.

The rarest bottle that has been mentioned on here so far is Elmer t lee. It was never difficult for me to get my hands on.. until about 16 months ago. I was asked by few bourbon searchers over the last week or so for Pappy.. Honestly, around its release date I get asked twenty to a hundred times at least a week.. I know they must find it cute, they stop laughing when I say "yes". It was refreshing to know one knew what a Beretta teknys is.
