That's big boy hunting right there. Great job laying it out for us - great read indeed.
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....

I'm jealous...for now...
I'd shoot a blacktail but if I make it to Kodiak it will be for a Barrow's and a Harli.

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.
"I here repeat, & would willingly proclaim, my unmitigated hatred to Yankee rule—to all political, social and business connections with Yankees, & to the perfidious, malignant, & vile Yankee race."
Thats a super fine Black Tail partner!! Awesome trip!
Genesis 9;2
Truly a BADASS write up and story. Look back at it I bet you say to yourself, WOW what a trip
Gettin old is for pussies! AND MY NEW TRUE people say like Capt. Tom >>>>>>>>>/
"Wow, often imitated but never duplicated. No one can do it like the master. My hat is off to you DRDUCK!"
My Dad and Uncle were the first set of caucasian twins born on Kodiak while my Grandfather was stationed there pre-WWII. After 12/7/41 all civilians were evacuated from the base with the exception of my Grandmother because traveling that close to the due date would be dangerous for the babies. Pretty much as soon as she gave birth they put her and the boys on a ship and got them back to CONUS.
AFAIK Phil lake and Jack lake haven't been renamed.
It is on my bucket list to visit.

Vegetarian: Native American for Piss Poor Hunter
2EA66A1D-FCA1-486B-944E-FA6FA1B444F0.jpgThat’s a cool story. I’d say this is probably them, and it would be doubtful they changed the name. Most lakes there are named for their elevation because there are so many.
Great read! Thanks for sharing.
