Rendering Aid on SC Waterways
In a non life threatening boating situation, what is required from passing boats regarding rendering assistance? Example, if I see a fellow with a motor cowling off his boat, standing and waving with arms overhead obviously signaling for help.
Also, is there a difference between SCDNR laws vs USCG laws? (requirements)
Personally, I know what I do and have always done and that is to render assistance but I am curious as to exactly what the law requires.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.
