Looking into the 9mm, which would you prefer and why? .
I had a XDs 45 and I loved the trigger and the reset. How does the shield compare?

IMO there is no comparison. If you don't have a shield you need one!!
Another vote for the shield!
Held a H&K P90 today.
Fell in love. Fits my grubby paws perfectly, and all the buttons make sense. Perfect ambi gun.

I tell you what, the men I learned from carried pistols made from Steel......... which I still cling to.
I just can't warm up to the "plastic fantastic" guns..
You want a great 9mm?? How bout a Browning Hi Power?? Or a Sig 225,226 or 228?? Or a Beretta 92??
Shit, I can barely tolerate plastic grips on my guns.......... JUST DAMN..
Call me old, or old fashioned, but a pistol should be made of metal..
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
Not to overlook, great guns come chambered for sho nuf Man cartridges.......

Take a bunch of random ammo of the same caliber, different mfgs and bullet profiles, mix em all up in a box and load up some mags from that box.
Run em thru a Glock, XD or M&P, them run them thru a 1911 or Hi power. Then make a no bullshit decision on which you would stake your life on.
The old "gunfighters" that you read about in the books and mags carried steel pistols because thats all they had other than a revolver. They were actually in very few gunfights compared with todays modern warriors. If Col Cooper had access to a Glock or M&P back in the day, thats what he would have carried.
You should add Kahr CM-9 and PM-9 to the list. Might even look at the CW-9 if you want to trade a little larger size for more capacity.
Never had any issues with my CM-9 and it shoots remarkably well for its size.
Shield.
