Wired connection is fine. Looking for reliability and cheap ink.

I don't care much for HP after aggravating with this piece of shit on my desk for the last hour trying to send a one page fax.

I've had problems with other HPs, but I've got a 8500 right now that's been good for a couple few years.

I am in the market as well - looking at a Brother color laser all-in-one... screw ink. My HP ink always dries out or runs out. Toner may be more $ but my cost per page will me lower in the long run. Plus I hate HP "bloat ware"

i have a canon imageclass d420 on my desk. love it. got it on special for like 85.00 free shipping. it's a laser printer, scanner, copier, fax, etc.... if you buy your toner online, you can get it cheap.

Anyone else have any recommendations as far as toner vs inkjet? I need color and 2 sided copying would be bonus. Buttons would be nice too instead of a touch screen, especially for dialing fax numbers.

I need to get one ASAP.

I ended up with an Epson. I didn't plan on buying another inkjet but I also didn't care to pay $300+ for a color laser either. So far so good on the Epson, and the ink is fairly cheap - $12 or so at Office Depot.

Haven't had a single problem with this Canon Pixma MX410. Picked it up for 90 bucks from Best Buy about two years ago. Wireless, color, flat and feed scanner, fax capable.
