Not to hijack the thread butI have that same gun/caliber and wouldn't take anything for it. Mine was bought new in 1995 so it has the newer style safety. I am so ready to hand it down to my son. Sweet, sweet gun.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013
My favorite Rifle is a Remington 700 in 25-06, I'll grab it 9 out of 10 times when deer hunting.
My other Favorite is this 1956 Model 12 Heavy Duck Gun
I'll take these two over just about anything else.

Good looking M12. I didn't have to turn my head far to be looking at it's twin...
Enjoy them while they last.

This will be a great thread JAB, as soon as I get home I am going straight to my boat and get my gun out and take a picture. Normally I have at least one sweet dog print on it somewhere. MG

I will be damned if I will hide my guns. What is wrong with you people? Thankfully Marion, Sumter, Moultrie, et al did not take such a cowardly path...
Still waiting on getting the scope back from being refurbished. Marlin 336 in 44mag. with 3-9x40 Marlin brand scope.

My first deer rifle: The Marlin 30/30 with a Buschnell 3X9X40. Retired a few years after highschool and replaced with a bolt action 30/06. It amazes me how well I took care of things back then. Think Im gonna go pick up a sling and order some good bullets and put her back in service, gets me all misty eyed. Inside of a hundred yards this thing was something else. If I knew a little more about bullet selection back then Im sure it would have been much better much further. I remember shooting erasers off of pencil tops at about 60 yards with this fella. Couldn't hit em every time but more times than not. Dad has a .22 that looks just like it with the same scope that he got the same day we got me this one. One day I will pass em both on to my son.
