This is how progressivism works. Liberals (not calling you one, Bart) don’t advance their causes by giant leaps. They take inches. Every time conservatives compromise on an issue, it validates the left’s position. By renaming the college, you’re saying that history should be white washed. This guy I was riding behind today gets it.

All of them. This issue is about one group getting something, and another having to give in. Why, so people’s feelings aren’t hurt anymore. Liberals only want to raise taxes a little, why can’t conservatives compromise. We don’t want to take your hunting guns away, just the scary AR 47 machine guns with the 100 round clips. Why can’t y’all compromise. Compromise means both parties give up something. Liberals don’t give up anything, they just don’t get everything they wanted. That’s okay though, because they’ll get a little more next time.

Funny thing is BOOM could be a grand dragon and it wouldn’t be a story. Irrelevant.

I don't disagree with the man, but he is toast. Cancel culture will have him gone by close of business tomorrow.

This might not be completely on point, but I think it's close. If you have five minutes, take a look.

the cancel cult has no statute of limitation and gives no quarter. If the sports media does not eat one of their own, then we know from whence the Dabo fury came.

If boom stepped out of line just a wee little bit he would be canned. They want to get out of that ridiculous contract bad. You forget about the BOT trying to fire him last year?

I understand your sentiment regarding the liberal mindset, but your statements about compromise and sacrifice are off in regard to this particular case. Nuk and the rest have given PLENTY to your institution, much more than MOST of those guys will ever get back. It's because of what they've given (and the direct benefits they afforded your institution) that their demand has any credence.

Fair point. Tuition and housing, and a degree for some. Several have gone on to fame and fortune, but statistically, that ain't many. There are also the regular (black) students who didn't play sports. They stand to benefit as well.
