Liar. Clearly you got that beaver from your hometown, local IGA.

How long do you need to feed the possum cabbage, potatoes, and rice before you cook him?

The teeth don't look big enough to be a beaver. My guess is Nutria.

I'd try beaver. I've been trying to get brave enough to try armadillo. They were commonly eaten back during the Great Depression and called "Hoover hogs" because they taste like pork. It was a stab at President Hoover for his part in dragging out the Depression. Most folks aren't even susceptible to leprosy and I'm typically on the strong end of immunity. I just think a smoked armadillo would be a pretty impressive center piece of an elegant table setting.

I made a pot of chilli out of this one for our last wild game supper. I've also had them roasted, and slow cooked like a pig. They aren't bad, has a beefy taste to it. It is a very deep red meat.

Fuck that. There's a reason all of those critters are plentiful and no one is dying to get out to kill and eat them. Tape worm and leprosy anyone?

I ain't saying who, but I did witness a member of this sites FIL eat a beaver eyeball. Well, he chewed it trying to get it to pop and couldn't crack it.

When I first saw the pic the first thing I thought was the belly looked liked a bit like bacon.

Still confused on how they got all the rice, potatoes, and carrots timed just right.

This older gentleman I had the pleasure of meeting this past summer down in Hollywood, SC had two coons in a rabbit hutch he was fattening up for turkey day this year. I would imagine they've exploded by now with what he was feeding them.
