    Default Quality, but not quantity

Finally killed my first greenhead. I swear I'm the only person thats ever made 2 trips to AR and still hadn't killed a drake mallard...until now. Later in the morning a group of widgeon worked perfectly. They read the script and came in cupped up and feet down. 3 came in, only one left. One hunt, 2 birds I'd never killed before. Not too shabby!

Fact...having your wanker out will get you kilt. Every time. At least I let him finish first!

Well done. I have a buddy that does a cadence on a call named "horny Suzie" for that very reason in the last picture.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

3 big ducks is a good day in anyone's book during this diver year.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Thanks! Both the widgeon and the mallard are going to be making a trip to Shane's.

My thoughts exactly. I'll take this bag any day of the year!

Sounds like a great hunt. That's a nice looking widgeon. I love working a group of those little bastards and hearing them whistle while they work.
