If it can't be caught with a Zebco 33 attached to a white rooster tail I don't stand a chance.

    You’re in luck with largemouth.

Other than fly fishing and bill fishing, I am convinced bass fishing on big bodies of water takes the most technique than any other fishing. If you're going for big fish.

Big nesting bass fishing is big on Marion and Moultrie.

People come from all over to do it. Locals stake rebar and pvc in the shallows and ziptie brush to them to entice fish to bed there. It works great.
The shallow flats of eastern Marion’s coves and bays, and much of the perimeter of Moultrie are littered with em.
3-5ft clear water over a sandy bottom makes finding big bedding bass really easy.
And if you have ever pestered a bedding fish you are aware that she will eventually eat. It may take an hour, but she will do it.
Piles of 10+lb fish are caught like this by everybody from the local 16yr old kid with a jonboat, to bass tournament professionals.

If you can consistently win big tournaments any time on the lake, you are a good bass fisherman. Otherwise, you think you are a good bass fisherman.

I'm not being a smartass Bogster, but what point are you trying to make? Catching bedded fish is just a small part of bass fishing and basically anyone can do it. The people that I consider to be great bass fisherman are those who can consistently catch 20 to 30 pound bags on public waters year round. That isn't something just anybody can do.

The point he is making is that I am right, he doesn't know dick about bass fishing as a whole.
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Can those great fishermen do it in a 16ft jonboat with 2 rods and a tackle box?
Would they be men among boys without electronics of any kind?

I thought it was the bicycle he had when he was little that made him an expert.

So, based on your "logic", Jordan Spieth, J. Day, Webb Simpson, and all the rest would be average duffers without Big Bertha's, Pro V1's and Scotty Camerons?

Who does any kind of fishing these days without electronics? No matter what you are catching, electronics (of some type) are usually involved
