    Default Summerville Nexton Eats

It looks like I will be spending a good bit of time in this area. Its really grown up since last time I was down there. Any good places to eat?

Look up “Charleston Bakery”. Great place to get breakfast pastries and such. Kickin’ Chicken isn’t too bad for lunch. No ideas for supper. It has grown up tremendously, and has little signs of slowing down.

You will be in my stomping grounds. Holler if you want to throw something on the grill and drink a beer. Maybe it will work out where i can get that shotgun from you without traveling, haha.

Was there last week with work. First time I’ve been there in several years. We ate at the ale house one night and halls chop house the other. Ale house was ok at best and halls chop house was pretty decent. Definitely wouldn’t go back on my dime. Went to Charleston one day for lunch. Ate at fleet landing. It was good as always. That area is crazy as much as it’s grown over the last 10 years. Filled with Yankees. We will be a blue state before long.

I wouldn’t eat at the Ale House if it was free! Drive deeper into Summerville and eat at Oscar’s or the Fish camp. Nothing in Nexton compares to them. Halls is OK at best!

Oscars filet with the asparagus has always been great. Ate at a place in town Saturday, littl piggys or something, across from the old post office, cold beer and ribs were not bad
