    Default Cool Mount Display

Bad cell phone picture. But the display is neat. Someone sunk a lot of money into that deal.

Some of those poses are very nice. But I have to say that I find the whole thing over all a little tacky. Maybe it's the green grass?

I think if I inherited the Biltmore I could find an appropriate place for that piece of art.

That would be a nice piece if it was behind glass. That’ll be a nightmare to clean.

I think he might be over the limit.

That was my thought exactly. My son sent me the picture and I told him it needs to be in a glass case. You'd never be able to keep the dust out that display.

Probably around $8k for this. Really like the concept but for some reason not the overall piece. I like that the pintails are reminiscent of individual frames of a landing bird. I believe I know which taxidermist did this and is great with unique habitat pieces. I have pitched to a number of clients something similar where we build a nice centerpiece made to accommodate many ducks as they collect over their lifetime. No one has ever taken me up on it until yesterday actually. They probably clean it with a leaf blower and have an air purifier/cleaner in the room.

First thing that hit me was "I've never seen ducks landing perfectly spaced out and in a single file line." Badass work, but he/she didn't see the forest for the trees and forgot about overall realism.

I guess I just thought he was trying to show the transgression. I was thinking the two below it were just being extra..

Now that you mention it...I think that might have been what he was going for. Regardless, that is a bunch of really cool work and no doubt a pile of money and time invested.

Definitely what the intent was. Pretty cool. I think someone said in an above post that the other “two” are extras and I count 6. I cant look at it while I type this but 3 mallards, a spec, and maybe two teal? Blurs out when I zoom in.

Exactly. Freeze frames of a landing.
