I know a lot of people that went to a private school. Sloan's School. And I don't think it was for the reasons hinted on above and definitely not because they were priveledged.

My son went to private school because he, himself, was intent on getting the best high school education that he could get. It was his idea and his choice. It was money well spent as he just graduated as salutatorian of an IB school. He now has a good foundation to build on.

For the record, I never said anything negative about anybody's kids. Tooth, yes, after he called me a racist for the second time among other things. I know where his kids go to school and it is a fine education. That education can also be found at some public institutions in the Cola/Lex area. There are some areas of S.C. where private schools are warranted. Clarendon/Orangeburg/Allendale areas. Columbia? Not so much. Let's be honest boys, we all know the primary reason kids are sent to private schools, and it ain't class sizes for sure.
