Always shoot with mine off.
Always off. I don’t like how the bow feels off balance with the quiver on.
Do you guys take the magazine out of your rifle when you hunt?
Do you carry the whole box around when you drink?
Guess so.
Changing gears a bit....
Have y'all seen the prices on some the newer high end quivers? They are insane.
Mathews thinks a whole lot of its accessories. I think the quivers approach $200.

Burris' new sight is $800.

As a kid I read everything that Chuck Adams wrote. He didn’t use a quiver on the bow because each arrow removed changed the balance, weight and consistency of the bow and the vanes gathered more wind making it tougher to hold a steady aim under windy conditions.
I couldn’t find any of his articles online, but here is one of the same school of thought:

Good article, Hart. Out of curiosity I’ll see if I can pick up any accuracy changes with one arrow out as per the article (3 arrow quiver). I can also test for noise, both with the Tactacam and a dosimeter, although it will be a bit subjective.

The way I look at it, is if you practice with no quiver and add the weight of a 3 to 6 arrow quiver, it’s going to change the way the bow feels in your hand. On those same lines, if you practice with 3 to 6 arrows in your quiver and you have to make a shot in the field with only 1 or 2 arrows in it, the bow will be lighter.
I like for my bow to feel the same way every shot.
When it comes to archery consistency typically helps with accuracy.
I do practice with my quiver on my bow preparing for western antelope, elk and mule deer because when spot and stalk hunting, you may not have time to take your quiver off in time, but for treestand hunting whitetails, my quiver coming off is one if the first things I do after getting in a stand.
