    I am with you Dave however as much as I am trying to stay positive I am afraid their time has run out. Hate to have these thoughts and trust me I HOPE TO GOD I AM WRONG but it is almost a week .

    If the boat were still missing and a chance there were on the bottom of the over turned boat but just floating I am getting very concerned they may not make it

    Also unless there is a lot of icee/water in that yeti they are getting to the point their bodies can not make it without water. If I am correct 3-5 days is about all you can go without water

    It's been hot fellas. This thing probably ended days ago. America lost two boys who had the same spirit that made the nation great.

    Pray for their mother's.

    It sucks. I can't imagine what their parents are feelimg right now.

    Not to make light of the situation, but does anyone else think one of those boys looks a lot like his neighbor, Joe Namath?

    God speed boys, Lord be with their parents. These boys have given me hope for our younger generations. Just when you thought all was lost to video games and MTV these boys remind us the spirit of adventure is still alive. Tight lines boys!

    Agreed on both counts.

    I've been hoping beyond hope.

    This should be a good eye opener for everyone. Make sure you and your family members have the correct safely gear for your situation. Most safety gear is so cheap in comparison to a SAR mission or death. More than likely with EPIRB or PLB these boys would have been in their beds on Friday night. They are cheaper than a good fishing reel. If you have children around this age, use it to teach them how fast things can go wrong.

    Godspeed boys!!
    I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

    Whats it like to live w/o the Internet? Not bad, I get photos of your mom thought the mail....

    It is tragic. If nothing else these two boys restored a little bit of faith in the up and coming generation.
    Godspeed boys.
    Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

    Default Mariner's prayer..

    This prayer was by the helm of my Grandpa's boat. (next to his whisky glass holder)

    Oh Lord, be good to me, the Sea is so big, and my boat, so small.

    I always liked this one too-

    Mariner’s Prayer
    Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Mother of God and our Mother, you know all the dangers of soul and body that threaten mariners. Protect your sons and daughters who work and travel on the waters of the world, and protect also their families that await their return. Star of the Sea, Mother of the Church, give light and strength to those chaplains and lay ministers who bring the love of your Divine Son among mariners. Fill their hearts with a supernatural and life-giving zeal for the apostolate. Star of the Sea, light shining in the darkness, be a guide to those who sail amid the storms and dangers of life. Enlighten the hearts of ardent disciples and bring us all to the safety of heaven’s port.

    Amen.

    God Speed to the lost young Sailors. Prayers of comfort to their families and friends.

    A good prayer posted at the other site:

    Eternal Father, strong to save,
    Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
    Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
    Its own appointed limits keep;
    Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
    For those in peril on the sea!

    O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
    And hushed their raging at Thy word,
    Who walkedst on the foaming deep,
    And calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
    Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
    For those in peril on the sea!

    Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
    Upon the chaos dark and rude,
    And bid its angry tumult cease,
    And give, for wild confusion, peace;
    Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
    For those in peril on the sea!

    O Trinity of love and power!
    Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
    From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
    Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
    Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
    Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.
