Nothing from Williamsburg County. The authors don't know squat about BBQ.

Not a nice thing to say Biz. I guess it's the little penis syndrome or something.

Puddin. No damn rice, lots of sage, and red pepper, some onion, salt and black pepper.

Sugar Hill is still closed. Not sure what the deal is. Damn bbq places around here are dying faster than the dogwoods.

Shuler's is very good, but it has nothing to do with the BBQ, IMO. Like most BBQ buffets, I think they need the buffet because they couldn't make it as a straight BBQ joint.

This shit reminds me of when SimpleMan and I used to start "Best Burger in SC" threads 5-6 yeas ago just to sit back and get a laugh at all the expert responses...and also to watch Fish lose his mind about the very existence of the thread.

What if you add artichoke relish to your slaw?

Update on this. Sugar hill is worth the trip and have been back open for a while. More of a pick up spot. They have a few tables, but I always just pick up 2 or 3 pounds. They are open Friday and Saturday until from 11 to 8 or something like that.

I also heard McCabe's health is doing alot better and they are hoping to open back up around February.

Glad to hear David is better, Sugar Hill has always been #2 in Manning. Lamar was good when he had the store on the corner.

Buddy of mine finally got the chance to open his own place his week in York. I went to school with him, and he has been dedicated to cooking as long as I’ve known him. He worked a BBQ catering service for a while, and now has his own smokehouse restaurant. If you’re un the area, check him out. Yorkville Smokehouse
