We've been lining up pretty good on thing as of late....not sure how or where the wheels came off on this griddle thing though....

I fully support the griddle for some breakfast throwdowns the lake, hibachi night for the kids, and some Macs style flat top burgers

He just gets grumpy when people don't fit in his tiny little box and ignore his "advice". He'll be okay. Today is Dental Friday.

Slather it with a herb butter, horseradish mix that willk talks about in the other thread, I put it on the egg at 300 and let it cook at about 250 until it’s 110 internal, then pull it and remove the plate setter. Put it back on and sear it over the flames.
Let it rest for about 20-30 minutes. I did use some oak and cherry for a little smoke.

I now understand where the curmudgeon is coming from....if it exceeds the frying pan's capabilities, then there are too many folks at the house....

air fryers are good for frozen bags of meat parts and fries...not much else. Instantpot's are really good for baked potatoes or just using it as a crock pot for slow cooked roast.

I got a Big Easy for Christmas...I have no use for it what so ever. I already have an electric oil less fryer and it has a smoker box on it. Not bad for wings or small whole chickens. Haven't done anything else on it though. mostly just takes up space in the garage.

    .

Hence, the rationale behind my use of "selective" ... I admire your attempts, albeit futile, to bring enlightened counsel to those who earn your disdain on a daily basis.

The mere fact that you even asked this question causes me great concerns about your sanity.

    What is a air fryer?

Damn, what's with all of the hating on the InstaPot?. It's just an electric pressure cooker. I own five pressure cookers and one InstaPot. I love the fact that it has a timer and non-profit stick insert. As for all of the air fryer talk, they should be sued for false advertising. MG
