    Default Single Man Limit

A lot of y’all have hunted with me over the last couple years, some have had the privilege of seeing Jake at his best, some of y’all saw his worst. But one thing that has always eluded me was killing a limit to him by . myself. I’ve seen 30 killed over the course of a day with a group but never could get our act together enough when it was just me and him.
Headed to a spot that was originally part of our family farm but is now owned by a good friend, Got out of the truck at 5 and had 4 in the bag at 515. We kept going from there and killed #10 within sight of the truck when I circled back. He made 12 trees total and hunted within sight the whole time. Twice when I could tell he was on something he would circle the trees carefully working the track and checking himself and I would spot the squirrel before he barked. I’d just lean against a tree and watch him work until he told me it was ok to shoot.
Just a solid afternoon in the woods with my four legged friend

    Thanks fellas

To poke fun at another thread, Jake and I probably need a few more seasons under our belt before we can really prove ourselves

Nice, nothing still beats the day he was stepped on by a cow and made the rest of the hunt covered in blood splatter!

    Ha!
He’s got grit, that’s for sure. And that was the same day I realized what kind of potential he really had
