It looks like they're trying something similar to IROC.
Might be pretty fun to watch.

I like what I hear so far.
■ A television strategy that will fit races into two-hour prime-time windows, presenting a contrast to NASCAR’s races that can run twice that long.
■ A focus on driver performance, rather than auto technology. Evernham will design the cars so that everyone races with the same equipment.
■ It will include racers and crew chiefs who are well known. Each race will have 12 drivers randomly matched with a crew chief.
■ It will feature racing under the lights at short tracks in the American heartland.
■ It is being positioned as an easier sale for sponsors that want to buy time on TV and at the event. “They make one phone call to be integrated in all aspects of the broadcast and the event,” George Pyne said.

Wonder where the drivers will come from? Doubt it would be any current NASCAR drivers due to scheduling
Wonder if we will see Kyle Larson in this series....... to soon?
Don’t underestimate Tony Stewart.

Those old IROC races were pretty cool back in the day.
Pretty sure Sportin still has his.

Yep and so were the IROC Camaro’s.
Looking forward to this one
Last IROC race I saw in person was at Talladega and the late Dale Earnhardt won it, in a damn DODGE if I recall
Those were fun to watch.
Next day DE Sr won Dega and I actually stood in Victory Lane between Dale and Teresa Earnhardt, he would not sign my Bill Elliot hat but told me to send it to DE Chevy and he would send it back to me. Never got around to it but Richard Childress signed it, funny I asked him if he would sign a Bill Elliot hat and he looked at me and said “ I will sign anything but a check “. Still have that hat in my office to this day, just kick myself for not sending it to DE Chevy to get him to sign it Actually had a beer with DE Sr that day and good conversation with him that day. GREAT GUY who loved to talk deer hunting
You should meet his son
Mark Martin had a helluva run in the IROC series. Probably my all time favorite driver.
The IROC series ended because of Earnharts domination.
