I’ve seen plenty of white oak acorns on the tree but only a handful on the ground so far

Zero on the ground where I’ve looked in Greenwood county.

But everything seems to be running late. There’s still muscadines on the vine and persimmons still loaded and haven’t dropped

I don’t have white oaks where I am, but I have plenty of acorns. Don’t know what kind they are, but the deer scarf them up later in the season. Not their preferred variety I guess….

Plenty of red oaks. Most of the white oaks I’ve found are wormy.

I have 5 huge water oaks lining my driveway and they are loaded and have been dropping for a month.

But my whites are non existent.

I may cruise through Connie Maxwell and see what they have on the ground. That usually tells the tale for me

I have a box stand under two huge red oaks. I've seen a few on the ground, but it was so dry this year I don't think they really made any. While putting out corn yesterday I checked an old water oak that's loaded, but it hasn't started dropping yet.

No doubt. They have been for a while, too.
