Its still in the works...but I thought many of you would be interested in this partnership. I had the opportunity to talk at lenght with a gentleman that heads up the Boy Scouts in a few counties up in Canada, just north of Lake Erie and Long Point (who is one of our other partners).
Anyway, we hope to be able to ship a couple hundred houses to them for use in merit badges and biological studies for the Boy Scouts in the area. They have a neat program to earn each rank and much of it is centered around natural resources and biology. The Scouts would be responsible for placement, upkeep, and record-keeping in terms of usage rates and brood numbers. I think this will be a wonderful opportunity to broaden our hen house placement within our focus area. I sure wish the Scouts in the states would jump on the bandwagon, too....
(if you look at a map of canada, the area that will be studied is SW ontario in the "toe" of the boot west of toronto)
