NICE!!!
Catdaddy, great job in helping the population. It seems to me that a predator could easily enter that hen house. My question is can you mount an effective predator guard to a hen house?
The best time to do something is between yesterday and tomorrow
Yes, it would be easy to put a pred guard, similar to the wooduck box type. These tubes are designed for use mainly up north. With the high rate of nesting success they are getting...........something climbing up the pole is rare.
Now in SC I would think it's a different story, but this tube has already hatched a full brood the last two years. If she makes it a few more weeks it will be 3 years in a row.
I realize the glare stinks in this picture, but here's the number 1 predator of hatched ducklings.
Wonder what he's checking out?
What is it, I can't see shat?
