Wofford is the best school in the state. You clearly are just not fortunate enough to know that, dex.
Best for what?Wofford is the best school in the state. You clearly are just not fortunate enough to know that, dex.
Nice first post.

Clemson:

You can pay 3x as much, for less than 10% of the degree choices.
and on a saturday during the fall, you can watch Wofford beat the mighty Appalachian State Mountaineers or you can watch Clemson beat 3 consecutive ranked football programs.

Dex, I think "Degrees Offered" is probably degrees awarded - total numbers, not number of options.
Check out stats like average class size, student to faculty ratio and # of faculty with PhDs. I'm pretty sure Wofford wins in those categories.
Clemson Class Size
Student-faculty ratio 16:1 , 4-year graduation rate 50%
Wofford Class Size
Student-faculty ratio 11:1 , 4-year graduation rate 78%
Wofford ranks ninth nationally in the percentage of students who study abroad.
I've not been on Clemson's campus, nor am I a fan of their athletic programs. However, based on the level of douchebaggery I saw at Carolina while I was there for grad school, I would be hesitant to send my boys to school there. No way in hell I'd let my daughter set one foot on campus.

You're Right.
Lists the degrees and number of graduates. Good catch.
Wofford has Clemson on size, for sure. and given an opportunity at free education there, I'd enroll tomorrow.
My "wofford sucks" was aimed at , who got the message.
#1 Private in the State : Wofford
#1 Public in the State : Clemson
#1 Military College in the state: The Citadel
#1 Law School in the State: Carolina
See, everybody wins.
Your financial argument doesn't hold water either...
Clemson Financial Aid:
Wofford Financial Aid:
Wofford may have a higher cost, but more financial aid is available. I paid about 6 grand out of pocket and borrowed about 6 grand for 4 years there. Granted, I owed 4 years to Uncle Sam in return for a 2 year ROTC scholarship, but I'm not complaining.

to each his own... I could've never afforded Wofford, or any other private school for that matter. Though, in retrospect, I wouldn't be making a single dime more if I had gone there.
Shitty female stats.
The irony, I pulled a schmoking hot German chick outta ya'lls pool of availables...
