I am ready for tamies to be an issue of the past. It is PAST time that something be done about this. THANKS, Nab, for getting on it!

I would hope that the SC DNR and the big gun of the USFWS, who has already come out with a report damning the practice of releasing mallards, would provide enough ammunition to do away with this travesty.

Our skies should be clear of these released birds. Our mottled duck population's genetic pool should be safe from them. Our incoming migratory birds should not be at risk from disease.... The list goes on and on.

Florida stepped up and did away with it, from what I here.

Bubb said it right. If you have any balls you will come out and do something instead of whining about it on the internet. SCWA is trying to get control of the SCDNR board. No question about that. They know the USFWS is against them. If they can keep the state on their side then they have a fighting chance. Get off your ass and see that the goddamn hunters of this state control the board. Not the Filson wearing tamie shooters.

That's awesome! Someone needs to create a petition that we can all print out and take to our non internet hunting friends. We have until the 15th of Feb to get enough signatures to force the board to recognize the duck HUNTERS want to get rid of the tame duck scourge. Thanks from all of us Nab! They have fired 75% of employee's, stopped the wood duck project and are relying on the MRRP and Camp Woodie to stay afloat.

Thanks for bringing this up when others were scared to at the meetings. If leads to the downfall of SCWA then that is an extra bonus and with some hopes of more funding to be put towards real conservtion with folks like Delta or DU.

Nab you the man!I remember about 7or8 years ago two old farts sittin' in the swamp telling how bad SCWA was for our state.Low and behold if one of them didn't jump ship and join up with them.I was starting to worry about the other one but I guess you showed me just where he stands.Great work.In my opinion you did the waterfowl world proud!!Thanks for all your hard work and taking the black eyes that some folks are always trying to give you.
