    Default A Sporty Saturday

Kept and eye on the weather and friday made the decision to go Saturday with a skeleton crew. one guy spent all day puking and the other 2 didnt know much so i worked my ass off, but it was worth it...

Left out at a 185 deg bearing to a snotty ocean. as we pushed off shore it got a little better. started trolling in about 350 ft of water. put a slinger in the boat within first hour. once that happened it started to lay down for us. we ended the day with 6 phins, 2 wahoo a sail, and the daymaker my buddies first Blue. i did spend the whole ride home discussing with them how NOT TO Bill a fish. luckily nobody got hurt. did enjoy some fresh hoo, mater pie and cornbread last night. see pics in Grillin and chillin. sorry i missed the workday, but havent fished in a few weeks and needed to go!

    second phin of the morning.

    the sail about noon

and the blue suit as we are pullin lines around 430

and the ocean layed down for a nice ride home

    Well done.

Watched an episode of when fish attack on Discovery Sunday prior to my 6 hour nap.

Dude caught a bill in his mouth, from a jumping Black.

    Gave me cold sweats.

Great day! Better than mine inshore. I must have been in the Cape Romain Triangle. Buddy broke a rod, electronics quit, later troll motor quit, and finally water choked motor down again and limped back in. Reds were on fire though.

    You also said "phin". :thatsgaytalk:

A word of caution from experience. Stainless steel hooks will fail when it really counts.

Almost forgot, frickin helluva day, Sir.
