Default Success with Arrowleaf in clay soil?

Thinking of adding some type of Arrowleaf clover to my current fall mix of wheat/rye/crimson. But read that arrow leaf grows best in sandy/loam. My soil type is red clay. Looking for feedback from anyone who has planted arrowleaf in clay and what specific type of arrow leaf did you plant. (Yuchi, etc.)Thanks!

I mixed Apache Arrowleaf 50/50 with Durana and was pleased with the relsults. This is in Union county clay. The tall stuff you see in the basket is Arrowleaf. The Durana does not grow as tall.
