    Default The first week

After I doubled on Friday morning I jumped in the truck and drove to Tn. Killed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Storms rolled in Monday mid day and blew birds everywhere. Hunted Tuesday and Wednesday hard. Worked some birds but couldn't punch that last tag.

5 birds in 6 days is nothing to complain about and Tn did not disappoint as usual.

As a bonus on Wednesday I was hunting with the local game warden when we got a call about some turkey poachers and had to go on the man hunt. I was appointed field dep'ty and since the Rabbit Sheriff didn't have his side arm on him I was assigned the "keep that shotgun on 'em till I say so" job.

Unnerving feeling pointing a loaded weapon at a man. Lots of tickets wrote that day.

I have a few pictures and will post when I get time. Relaxing this weekend and then back at 'em to try and fill some more SC tags next week.

    Nicely done.

So just how far did you keep that finger from the trigger just to make sure you didn't accidentally shoot somebody?

5 turkey birds in 6 days is a damn fine reckoning. Congrats on the success.

Don't really ever want to have need to point a loaded gun at another ever again either, gives me a bad feeling.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
