I want to plant some mast trees. In particular, I want some crab apples, pomegranate, persimmons, maybe some sawtooth oaks or gobbler sawtooths. Does anyone know a good source for fruit and oak trees?

    Thanks in advance.

without a doubt, you call Edward Fort at Edward Fort Nurseries. He is located in Hartsville.

    His number is 1-866-295-TREE

he has good quality seedlings. cut 'em and I planted over 250 of them last winter. we had 100% survival...until a dozen or so of them got flooded.

Google IP SuperTree Nursery or Super seedling IP...or something like that. They have a nursery in blenheim and in georgia and will ups to your doorstep. I got 100 persimmons from them this year and I bet they have already grown 6 inches and I havent even fertilized them yet. Have three year sawtooths from them and almost 100 % made it, live oaks too. The frost cut the saw tooths ass this year though. I think they are all coming back. These people produce alot more trees every year then the state nurserys do, or atleast they dont seem to run out. just my 2 cents.

Edward Fort is the only place I recommend and I buy a ton of the species you metioned each year. His best deal is to get the 1,3, or 5 gallon trees that are anywhere from 5-10 feet tall.

Last year, he had a fire sale on the 1 gallon Cherrybark trees. We have planted his trees here for 2 years and have been very pleased so far. We had some minor mortality with the persimmon 2 years ago and replaced each one this year, on his tab.
