    Default shotgunning

    Anybody know of shotgun classes being held around the columbia/sumter area??

    Every weekend on any land you have. Get a box of clays, some shells, a hand thrower, and a buddy. As for any "class" you want to take. You can probably find the same information online that some "instructor" will tell you. Probably some good stuff on youtube as well.

    Classes don't really work in the real world of shotgunning. You needs hands on experience. A couple of options: 1) Go to Hermitage Farms in Camden and talk to Joe Cantey. He can provide you with instruction or set you up with a visiting instructor. You can even share a lesson with a buddy to cut down on costs. 2) look online for instructional DVD's. Bruce Scott and Dan Carlisle are both great instructors. They use an eye cam so you can see the how it looks. Here is a link http://www.sunrisevideo.com/catalog.asp?c=clays1

    I went to Backwoods Quail for a tune-up with their instructor. It was worth every penny.
