Default Seven days off work I will remember!

Around the end of February I had some heart problems that completely changed my life. When I say changed my life, I mean like I had to quit drinking, change my diet, no caffeine are just some examples. The other thing I had to do was slow down, most of you that know me know that I only operate at one speed and that is wide open. One thing that I love I had to give up was hog hunting, among other things. Well last week I went and had a bunch of test run on the ol ticker, and even though I was not back at a 100%, the doc told me I could start doing more things, which was just in time for a seven day off work. Well last Thursday I decided I was going to go fishing, and we had a beautiful day on the water. We ended up with 15 I think. Got to meet a fellow SCDucker, SNAP Hunter, and had a great time fishing with him. Then yesterday I decided that I was going to go hunting, I had not been in two and a half months, my buddy had been taking my dogs some for me, but I needed to go. Me and a buddy headed to the swamp with a nice cool morning, and got there and hardly found any hog sign. I was determined to find one so we rode around for hours and finally found this big ol RANK bastard. He was an easy 300+, and had the right cutters to mess up a dog. Dogs caught him in a fallen down tree top, and had to crawl in there with him to kill him, which was a little shady at a few times. Well we loaded up the hounds and I thought it was a great day, so I headed to Boykin to drop off some seed. While driving down 261 I got a call from a friend who had seen my truck, and he kinda had an unusual request. He told me he was standing in someone’s front yard with a 11 ft alligator, and DNR wanted someone to catch it so they could release it somewhere else. I have hunted them, but never tried to catch one, but I said what the hell. Kinda hard to describe how it went down, but half of boykin and Camden got pics and videos of it, that I am waiting to get. Thankfully I had several county sheriffs, and a few men in green waiting with guns just incase he got the best of me, but it went good. Anyway, like one of the best times I have had in a week in a long time!

Great to hear from you. So you have cancelled the trip to Vegas and will be at The Run? Women are looking for you.

I can't begin to imagine the pile of dead critters that will be laid out when you're back to 100%.
